What is the Relationship Between Freedom and Responsibility?

The relationship between freedom and responsibility is complicated. At least, it seems complicated. Really, it is not very complicated at all. My theatre class has been pondering on the answer to this question. We finally came up with a conclusion.

The relationship between freedom and responsibility is cause and effect. Freedom and Responsiblity come as a packaged deal . You don't get one without the other. This is because they directly affect each other. Its all about cause and effect. This idea is set on a universal level. Every place in the world abides by these facts. Just the same as every place in the world has gravity.

Could you imagine what mayhem there would be if you had freedom and absolutely no responsibility. It would be disasterous. People's actions would cause destruction all over the world. There would be war, prejudice, and hate everywhere. I could not bare to live on an Earth such as that.

Another thing that my theatre class is sort of looking at is how you can manipulate freedom. Not for harm, but for good. You can manipulate freedom and use it to help provoke peace. I believe that peace and serenity are two factors of responsibility. This will in turn help with freedom. Heck, I figure why not use it for good.

So you can easily see that responsibility and freedom have the power to help, affect, and manipulate each other. They truly are directly related. My theatre class is making a play that shows that. Freedom is a powerful thing. Without it, people would go crazy, and with it people must learn to be responsible. This will ultimately help themselves to be safe, happy, and peaceful.
